Removing Transmission Control Unit (PDK)

WARNING: Sudden voltage interruption of the power supply to the control module.
  • Damage to the control module.

→ During programming, it is essential to guarantee the power supply for the PIWIS Tester. It is essential to connect a battery charger with a current rating of at least 40 A to the vehicle battery.

→ Prior to disconnecting the control module, switch off the ignition and remove the ignition key.

  1. Remove transmission control unit (PDK) and holder.
    1. 1.1. Release the two connectors -arrows A-  and pull them off -arrows B-  .
    2. 1.2. Unscrew fastening screw -1-  .
    3. 1.3. Remove transmission control unit (PDK) and holder -arrow C-  .

  2. Remove transmission control unit (PDK).
    1. 2.1. Open locking bar -2-  (-arrow A-  ).
    2. 2.2. Release the holder at the four clips -arrows B-  and remove transmission control unit (PDK) -1-  from the holder -arrow C-  .
