Installing Parking Lock Cable: Notes

Information 

• During installation, make sure that the selector lever is in position "P" on the selector support and at the rear end position on the transmission. 
• The parking lock must be fully engaged. 

1. Fit the parking lock cable.
   1. 1.1. Slide parking lock cable from the vehicle interior through the bulkhead panel.
   2. 1.2. Fit parking lock cable through the opening of the engine compartment lid towards the transmission and move into position.
2. Engage parking lock cable on the Porsche Doppelkupplung.

   1. 2.1. Check that the gear selector on the selector support is in position "P" and is locked.
   2. 2.2. Check that the transmission parking lock is fully engaged.
   3. 2.3. Fit the parking lock cable -arrow-  on the bracket, press it in and engage it.
   4. 2.4. Press ball joint of parking lock cable -1-  onto the parking lock lever.
3. Engage parking lock cable on the holder.

   Fit parking lock cable -2-  and B+ cable -3-  into the holder -1-  and lock into place.

4. Bend down the tabs at the body guide.
5. Connect parking lock cable at the selector support.
   NOTE: The parking lock cable must only be connected without pretension.

   1. 5.1. Insert parking lock cable into the bayonet lock -2-  and lock the bayonet lock.
   2. 5.2. Attach parking lock cable to the support and engage securely.
   3. 5.3. Connect electric multiple plug connector -3-  .
