Preliminary Work

Information 

Two persons are needed to disengage and engage the convertible top mechanism!

→ Move Convertible Top To Service Position 

Partly remove hood covering.

1. Unscrew fastening screws -1-  and remove cover strip -2-  from roof frame -3-  .

2. Pull the lower seal -1-  at the sides out of the profile of the retaining strip -2-  .
3. Unscrew fastening screws -3-  at the front of the roof frame.

4. Remove fastening screws -1-  from the retaining strip -2-  . Pull off seal for hood tip -3-  .
5. Remove additional seal -4-  .

6. Unscrew fastening screws -1-  on the roof frame and slightly raise the shaped sheetmetal part together with the hood covering -2-  .

7. Press the ball socket of the push rod -6-  off the ball joint of the main folding top bow.

8. Carefully remove hood by hand to the rear.
9. Unscrew fastening screws at the sides -1-  using assembly tool with T25 insert 9744  to remove them from the tension rope -2-  and unscrew clamping rail -3-  .
