Removing Hardtop Fastenings
NOTE:
Operation of the hood in service position
- Risk of damage to hood frame and rear window
→ Do not move the hood to the "Close" position by electrical means when in service position.

→ Do not move the hood to the "Close" position by electrical means when in service position.
- Open convertible top completely.
- Remove side trim panel.
- Move convertible top to service position.
- Detach cloth.
- 4.1. Disengage strip on left and right of cloth covering -4- in downward direction.
- Disengage tension rope.
- 5.1. Press ball socket -5- of tension rope off the ball joint of the adjusting piece.
- Disengage push rod.
- 6.1. Press ball socket -6- of push rod off the ball joint of the main folding top bow.
- Swivel convertible top to the front.
- 7.1. Swivel the convertible top so that the screws -7A - and -7B- of the bracket become accessible.
- Unscrew fastening screws.
- 8.1. Lift tension bow and unscrew fastening screw -7A - over the convertible top compartment; fastening screw -7B- is normally accessible.
- Open convertible top completely.
- 9.1. When operating the convertible top, make sure that the unclipped push rod does not jam in the convertible top mechanism.
- Remove bracket.
