Installing A-Pillar Trim

Information 

• Ensure that deformation element is seated correctly before installation. 

1. Check sheetmetal clips -3-  and replace if necessary. Position A-pillar trim panel -1-  on windscreen frame -direction of arrow-  .

2. Insert A-pillar trim panel -1-  laterally (transition point to dashboard) on windscreen frame -direction of arrow-  click into place.

3. In order to avoid rattling noises, each of the two convertible-top peg housings on the left and right -2-  must be facing outwards in relation to the centring pins fitted on the convertible top or hardtop when tightening. The convertible top must be closed or the hardtop must be fitted to check the adjustment.

   Tighten fastening screws -1-  . Tightening torque → Final tightening: 7.5 ftlb.

1. Insert A-pillar trim panel -1-  at the side of the windscreen frame (transition point to dashboard).

2. Press in A-pillar trim panel -1-  along the roof frame until the clamps -2-  engage.

3. Clip C-pillar trim panel into place -1-  in area of A-pillar trim panel -2-  .

4. Lift rubber seal for door -1-  using a plastic wedge -2-  along the A-pillar trim panel -3-  .
