Installing Trailing Arm

Before installing the trailing arm, check the various parts visually.
Replace lock nuts.
Observe correct tightening torques → 400000 TIGHTENING TORQUES FOR FRONT AXLE .
Ball joint taper must be free of grease.
Counter with a screwdriver 9546 when tightening the lock nuts on the ball joint of the trailing arm.
The sensor for headlight beam adjustment (left vehicle side only!) does not need to be calibrated.
- Installation is carried out in reverse order.
- When installing the trailing arm, make sure that the fastening screw on the trailing arm -5-
is tightened only in vehicle position!
Vehicle position means: vehicle must be standing on its wheels, or the wheel suspension is lifted with a universal lift until the two markings line up.
