Removing rear trunk floor panel (section)

1. Remove closing cross member. → 531655 Replacing closing cross member- chapter on "Removing"

2. Determining the cut

2.1. Position rear trunk floor panel separation point -A-  so that the rear trunk floor panel spare part overlaps by approx. 40 mm. Mark the separation point. See Fig 2.

3. Cutting through rear trunk floor panel

3.1. Cut through rear trunk floor panel in front of the laser weld (visible continuous weld in rear trunk floor panel) on the marked connection point -A-  with the oscillating body saw. See Fig 3.

4. Milling off spotwelds

4.1. Mill off spotwelds in areas -A-  and -B-  using a spotweld cutter. See Fig 4.
