Preliminary work

1. Move control pedal of the foot-operated parking brake to the zero position. To do this, pull the release lever on the dashboard.

2. Remove cover in the footwell. Refer to 70 22 19 Removing and installing cover under dashboard - as of MY 2003 (All Models) .
