Removing center side member

CAUTION: Cut on center side member 

→ The cut on the center side member can only be at the marked area A. 

→ Position the cut between the openings (holes).

→ The cut must not obstruct the openings (holes).

1. Determining the cut

1.1. Determine the position of the cut in area -A-  between the openings (holes). Mark the cut. See Fig 1.

2. Cutting through center side member

2.1. Cut through the center side member in area -A-  . See Fig 2.

3. Milling off spotwelds

3.1. Mill off spotwelds in area -A-  using a spotweld cutter. See Fig 3.

4. Milling off and separating spotwelds

4.1. Mill off spotwelds in areas -A-  and -B-  using a spotweld cutter. See Fig 4.

4.2. Separate spotwelds in area -C-  using a parting grinder. See Fig 4.

5. Separating welded joints

5.1. Separate inert-gas welded seam in area -A-  using a parting grinder. See Fig 5.

5.2. Separate spotwelds in area -B-  using a parting grinder. See Fig 5.
