Brake Light Switch: Description and Operation

As in the previous Boxster/S (986) models, the brake light switch is designed as a double switch (opening and closing contact element) to ensure that application of the brake is clearly recognizable. The function of the switch is monitored and taken into the fault diagnosis in case of failure.
