Removing And Installing Fire Extinguisher

Removing fire extinguisher







1. Release restraining strap -1- by pressing the button -arrow A-.







2. Remove fire extinguisher -2- from the tray -3- ( -arrow B- ).

Removing tray for fire extinguisher

1. Move front seat to the uppermost position.
2. Unscrew fastening screws -1- and remove tray -2- ( -arrows- ).







3. Disassemble tray.







3.1. Pull restraining strap -1- out of the lower opening in the tray -2- ( -arrow A- ).
3.2. Pull tray holder -3- out to one side -arrow B-.
3.3. Slide restraining strap -1- completely out of the tray -2- ( -arrow C- ).

4. Loosen wire harness for control panel -1- by opening the tie-wrap -2- on the fire extinguisher holder -3-.







5. Unscrew fastening screws -4- and remove fire extinguisher holder -3- ( -arrow- ).

Installing tray for fire extinguisher

INFORMATION: Only for vehicles with air-conditioned comfort seat.

Make sure that the wire harness for the fan is not trapped or damaged.

1. Install fire extinguisher holder.







1.1. Position fire extinguisher holder -3- ( -arrow- ).
1.2. Coat fastening screws -4- with Loctite 243 and tighten them. Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
1.3. Secure wire harness for control panel -1- with the tie-wrap -2- on the fire extinguisher holder -3-.

2. Assemble the tray.







2.1. Pull restraining strap -1- through the upper opening in the tray -2- ( -arrow A- ).
2.2. Slide tray holder -3- through into the restraining strap -1- ( -arrow B- ).
2.3. Slide restraining strap -1- through the lower opening in the tray -2- ( -arrow C- ).

3. Position tray -2- ( -arrows- ) and secure with the fastening screws -1-. Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)







Installing fire extinguisher

1. Insert fire extinguisher -2- into the tray -3- ( -arrow A- ) and lock it with the restraining strap -1- ( -arrow B- ).
