Removing Front Control Unit

If a new control unit has to be installed, read out data from the "old" control unit if possible using the PIWIS Tester 9718. Coding (Programming) Control Unit 

NOTE: Voltage peaks
  • Risk of damage to load or to the control unit

→ Remove the ignition key and switch off load before disconnecting or removing load.

  1. Unscrew fastening screws -3-  .
  2. Push a screwdriver into the openings -A-  and unclip the four clips holding the cover -1-  .
  3. Release and unplug both electric connectors -A-  and disengage the left and right electric lines on the control unit.

  4. Unscrew the fastening nut -2-  , lift up the control unit and disengage it.
