Message on instrument cluster: 'Bonnet open'

Symptom		Cause	Work instruction
1	An interior light comes on when driving. The message 'Bonnet open' appears on the instrument cluster display panel.	This is caused by an incorrectly fitted engine compartment light. An engine compartment light may have been fitted without a blocking diode, which are normally installed as door exit lights.	Look at the component number to check that the 'correct' engine compartment light was installed at the 'correct' position. Also check the engine compartment, door exit and rear lid lights.
