DIAGNOSIS/TROUBLESHOOTING CHART - FAULT CODE 9123

1	Check wiring between oil level indicator and instrument cluster for short to B+	Switch off ignition Pull off plug B on instrument cluster Pull off plug on sensor for oil level indicator Switch on ignition Measure voltage between plug B on instrument cluster pin 2 and ground Measure voltage between plug B on instrument cluster pin 18 and ground	0 V Step 2	Repair wiring harness -> End
2	Check wire between oil level sender and instrument cluster for short to ground	Switch off ignition Measure resistance between plug B on instrument cluster pin 2 and ground Measure resistance between plug B on instrument cluster pin 18 and ground	Step 3	Repair wiring harness -> End
3	Check wiring between sensor for oil level indicator and instrument cluster for open circuit	Switch off ignition Measure resistance between plug B on instrument cluster pin 2 and plug on the oil level sender pin 2 Measure resistance between plug B on instrument cluster pin 18 and plug on the sensor for the oil level indicator pin 4	< 5 Step 4	Repair wiring harness -> End
4	Check sensor for oil level indicator	Switch off ignition Reconnect plug to sensor for oil level indicator Measure resistance on plug B on instrument cluster between pin 2 and pin 18	18 to 25 Step 6	Step 5
5	Replace sensor for oil level indicator		-> End
6	Replace instrument cluster		-> End
