DIAGNOSIS/TROUBLESHOOTING (8008 PCM2 - MMI)

1	MOST component check automatic run	In the Control units menu, select PCM2 Click MOST components check in the function selection and start it with the ">>" key Follow the instructions of the tester	The following text is displayed: Test successfully completed. No faults found. -> End	Tester displays an optical fault: Under Faulty device, the tester displays the relevant MOST control unit from which no appropriate signal is detected. Step 2 Tester displays an electrical fault: Step 7
2	Open circuit in MOST, optical	Replace the optical waveguide to the MOST control unit displayed with the optical wavelength test line 9712 Erase fault memory 8009. Select MOST components check and start it again with the ">>" key Follow the instructions of the tester.	The following text is displayed: Test successfully completed. No faults found Step 3	Step 4
3	Replace the optical waveguide		-> End
4	Open circuit in MOST, optical	If an MMI or GW fault is displayed under step 2: Connect optical output with the optical input of the MOST control unit which is installed before the PCM2 with the optical waveguide test line 9712. If only 1 external MOST control unit is present and fault memory entry under step 1 is not MMI or GW: Otherwise Connect the optical waveguide test line 9712 with the next Most control unit displayed under step 1 (do not change the input of the optical waveguide test line). After installing Optical waveguide test line 9712 : Erase fault memory 8009. Select MOST components check and start it again with the ">>" key. Follow the instructions of the tester.	If an MMI or GW fault is displayed under step 2: Fault memory entry 8009 = MMI or GW Step 5 If only 1 external MOST control unit is present and fault memory entry under step 1 is not MMI or GW: Fault memory entry 8009 = MMI or GW Step 6 Otherwise: The following text is displayed: Test successfully completed. No faults found. Step 5 ->End	If an MMI or GW fault is displayed under step 1: Fault memory entry 8009 is not MMI or GW Step 6 If only 1 external MOST control unit is present and fault memory entry under step 1 is not MMI or GW: Fault memory entry 8009 is not MMI or GW Step 5 Otherwise: Step 6
5	Replace the control unit displayed under step 1.		-> End
6	Replace the control unit before the one displayed under step 1.		-> End
7	Check the power supply of the displayed control unit.		Step 8	Repair -> End
8	Check wiring of the ring break diagnosis line.		Step 9	Repair -> End
9	Replace displayed control unit		-> End	-
