Read out CDR23 fault memory |
- Connect the Porsche System Tester II 9588 to the diagnostic socket; switch on the ignition and the Porsche System Tester II 9588
- Select vehicle type 911 (996) and start the automatic control unit search
- In the Control units menu, select CDR23
- Click the "> >" key in the Fault memory menu
- Read out fault memory
- Erase fault memory
- Remove ignition key and switch on ignition again.
- Read out fault memory

Check CAN comfort (high) for open circuit |
- Switch off ignition
- Pull off plug E on CDR23 control unit
- Pull off plug B on the air-conditioning system control unit
- Pull off plug A on the instrument cluster control unit
- Measure line resistance between pin 1 of plug E on the PCM2 control unit and pin 1 of plug B on the air-conditioning control unit

Repair open circuit in wiring harness
