Fault code 5506: Diagnosis/troubleshooting

NOTE:

Erase fault memory and carry out a test drive.

The following troubleshooting procedure applies to the rate-of-turn sensor 996.606.145.00 as of 08/00.

NOTE: If the rate-of-turn sensor with part No. 996.606.147.00 is determined to be faulty, install the new rate-of-turn sensor with part No. 996.606.145.00. The front centre console holder and the lower front centre console support must be replaced for this purpose. An adapter plug must be used for the plug connection. Refer to CONVERSION OF RATE-OF-TURN SENSOR .

The following troubleshooting procedure applies to the rate-of-turn sensor 996.606.147.00 up to 07/00.
