Control unit replacement: Pcm2

The PCM2 is provided in active production mode in new vehicles and as a spare part. Each time the vehicle is started, the chassis code stored is compared with the code in the instrument cluster. If no match is found, the unit switches off after 30 seconds and the PROTECTED message appears in the display. The unit is not operational.

If a match is found, the unit is operational.
