Removing the tension cable

  1. Removing convertible-top covering
    1. Remove convertible-top covering. See REMOVING CONVERTIBLE-TOP COVERING .
  1. Disengaging the tension cable at the shaped sheetmetal part
    1. Cut the plastic sleeve -2-  open with a pair of scissors. See Fig 1.
    2. Disengage the tension cable -3-  from the tension spring -4-  at the shaped sheetmetal part. See Fig 1.
    3. Pull the tension cable -3-  out of the seal -5-  . See Fig 1.
