CAUTION: Damage to or destruction of the tension bow seal. During the procedure convertible top in service position. Proceed according to procedure No. 1 in order to avoid damage to or destruction of the tension bow seal!

	Removing side-panel lining	Refer to REMOVING AND INSTALLING SIDE-PANEL LINING, - AS OF MY 1996 .
1	Convertible top in service position	Move convertible top -1-2-1-2-3- . See Fig 1.
2	Detaching drive lever	Press out upper retaining clip -4-5- . See Fig 1.
3	Removing spray protection	Pull the spray protection -6-7- . See Fig 1.

4	Removing hydraulic cylinder	Unscrew fastening nut -8-9- . See Fig 2.
5	Detaching convertible-top support	Undo fastening screws -10-11-8- . See Fig 2.
6	Removing rear side window inner seal	Undo and remove fastening screws -10-12-13-14-15- . See Fig 2.
7	Disconnecting the electrical plug connection	Disconnect electrical plug connection -16- . See Fig 2.
