Installing convertible top

CONVERTIBLE TOP INSTALLATION PROCEDURE (STEPS 1-5)

1 Checking assembly aids Ensure that the assembly aids -17-  . See Fig 1.
2 Placing convertible top on the vehicle Position convertible-top supports -11-17-  . See Fig 1.
3 Fitting rear side window inner seal Insert rear side window inner seal -14-15-13-12-15-10-  . See Fig 1.
4 Screwing convertible top on the inner side section Screw down the convertible-top support -11-10-8-  . See Fig 1.
5 Connect electrical plug connection Join the electrical plug connection -16-  . See Fig 1.

CAUTION: Damage to hydraulic system if hydraulic lines are trapped or crushed during installation. Pay special attention when routing the hydraulic lines in the clips.
CONVERTIBLE TOP INSTALLATION PROCEDURE (STEPS 6-10)

6 Installing hydraulic cylinder Position hydraulic cylinder -9-Figure A-Figure B-Figure C-8175-  . See Fig 2.
7 Fastening the drive lever Secure drive lever -5-4-  . See Fig 2.
8 Installing spray protection Insert the spray protection -6-7-  . See Fig 2.
9 Engaging tension cables Fold down tension bow and press ball socket of the left and right tension cables -3-  . See Fig 2.
  Refer to REMOVING AND INSTALLING SIDE-PANEL LINING, - AS OF MY 1996 .
10 Convertible top calibration Connect the Porsche System Tester to the diagnostic socket. Switch on the ignition. -F7 key-  . See Fig 2.
  Select menu item "Convertible top", and select menu item "Calibrate" in the command line which then appears. Start the calibration with the -F7 key-  . See Fig 2.
