Changing And Checking Transmission Oil In Final Drive

Filling capacity: approximately 0.8 liter

Oil type: Hypoid transmission oil, Burmah-Oil, SAF-AG 4/1016

NOTE:

There is no oil drain plug on the final drive. For oil changes, the cover of the final drive must be removed. See REMOVING AND INSTALLING FINAL DRIVE/TRANSMISSION HOUSING DOUBLE SEALING RING .

Unscrew plug (arrow). See Fig 1 .

Slowly pour in the prescribed oil type. The oil level must reach the lower edge of the filler opening.
Replace toroidal sealing ring for plug and tighten to 30 Nm (22 ft.lb).
