Changing And Checking Transmission Oil (Transmission G 86)

Filling capacity: 2.25 l
Oil type: Hypoid transmission oil SAE 75 W 90
Burmah-Oil TAF 21.
- Remove transverse strut member.
- Unscrew the oil drain plug with a socket wrench insert (for example, Hazet 2567-16) and drain oil with the vehicle horizontal.
- Clean the drain and filler screw.
- Fill in 2.25 l transmission oil with the vehicle horizontal.NOTE: At 2.25 l, the oil level is 11 mm below the filler opening.
Use a bent wire hook (shop-made) to check the level.
- Tighten the drain and filler screw with 25 Nm (18 ft.lb).
