Clutch line versions

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2004 Porsche Boxster, 2003 Porsche Boxster, 2002 Porsche Boxster, 2001 Porsche Boxster, and 2000 Porsche Boxster. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The clutch pipeline on the clutch master cylinder -8-  has changed as of '98 model (length, shape and routing). Version A = '97 model / version B = as of '98 model. See Fig 1 .

For this reason, the connecting center line -9-  has also changed. See Fig 1 .

This applies to left and right-hand drive vehicles. In the case of right-hand drive vehicles, the line -8-  is longer due to the different position of the master cylinder. See Fig 1 . The line -9-  is an identical part in the case of left and right-hand drive vehicles.

The spare part number of the lines -8 and 9-  as of '98 model = version -B-  are provided with the index 10 (10 at the end of the spare part number). See Fig 1 .

Version -A-  is no longer available. In the event of replacement, the new/current lines -B-  are to be installed with the part number 996.423.107.10 and 996.423.109.10 for left-hand drive vehicles and 996.423.108.10 and 996.423.109.10 for right-hand drive vehicles. See Fig 1 .

A 15 mm hole must be drilled in the left wheel housing due to the position of the lines!
