8009 CDR23: Diagnosis/troubleshooting

DIAGNOSIS/TROUBLESHOOTING - 8009 CDR23

1	Read out CDR23 fault memory	Connect the Porsche System Tester II 9588 to the diagnostic socket; switch on the ignition and the Porsche System Tester II 9588 Select 986 as the vehicle type and start the automatic control module search In the Control units menu, select CDR23 Click the "> >" key in the Fault memory menu Read out fault memory Erase fault memory Remove ignition key and switch on ignition again Read out fault memory Extract ambient data, press the ">>" key	The fault is remedied -> End	Fault code is still displayed Step 2
2	MOST component check runs automatically	In the Control units menu, select CDR23 Click MOST components check in the function selection and start it with the ">>" key Follow the instructions of the tester	The following text is displayed: Test successfully completed. No faults found. -> End	Under Faulty device, the tester displays the relevant MOST control module from which a corresponding signal is not recognised Step 3
3	Open circuit in MOST, optical	Replace the optical waveguide for the MOST control module with the optical wavelength test line 9712 Select MOST components check and start it again with the ">>" key	The following text is displayed: Test successfully completed. No faults found Step 4	Step 5
4	Replace the optical waveguide		-> End
5	Connect the optical waveguide test line 9712 with the following MOST control module		The following text is displayed: Test successfully completed. No faults found Step 6	Step 6
