Installing The Hydraulic Valve

NOTE:
- Always replace O-ring of the hydraulic valve and the retainer plate!
- Observe installation position of the hydraulic valve!
- Replace oil strainer -arrow-. See Fig 1.
- Replace the O-ring of the hydraulic valve and coat the new O-ring with engine oil. Insert hydraulic valve into the cylinder head, paying attention to the installation position (groove on valve -arrow- faces the dowel pin in the cylinder head). See Fig 2. Remove fabric tape.
- Coat seal of the retainer plate with engine oil and slide it over the hydraulic valve.
- Fit both M6 pan-head screws (hexagon socket a/f 5) complete with holder on the valve and tighten the screws.
Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ft.lb)
- Push the cable plug onto the hydraulic valve again. Make sure that the plug audibly engages. Clip cabling to sheetmetal bracket.
- Remove rear wheel. To do this, use the socket wrench insert P 300 to avoid damaging the wheel.
Tightening torque 130 Nm (96 ft.lb).
