Installing The Hydraulic Valve

NOTE:

Always replace O-ring of the hydraulic valve and the retainer plate!
Observe installation position of the hydraulic valve!
Replace oil strainer -arrow-. See Fig 1.

Replace the O-ring of the hydraulic valve and coat the new O-ring with engine oil. Insert hydraulic valve into the cylinder head, paying attention to the installation position (groove on valve -arrow- faces the dowel pin in the cylinder head). See Fig 2. Remove fabric tape.

Coat seal of the retainer plate with engine oil and slide it over the hydraulic valve.
Fit both M6 pan-head screws (hexagon socket a/f 5) complete with holder on the valve and tighten the screws.
Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ft.lb)
Push the cable plug onto the hydraulic valve again. Make sure that the plug audibly engages. Clip cabling to sheetmetal bracket.
Remove rear wheel. To do this, use the socket wrench insert P 300 to avoid damaging the wheel.

Tightening torque 130 Nm (96 ft.lb).
