Removing And Installing Sensor For Park Assistant: Notes

NOTE: Four sensors for the ParkAssistant are installed in the rear spoiler. The rear spoiler must be taken off in order to remove a defective sensor. The sensors are arranged in the order: outer left, inner left, inner right and outer right.

The sensor with holder in the rear spoiler consists of six parts.

  1. Rosette
  2. Washer
  3. Sensor housing
  4. Isolating ring
  5. Sensor
  6. Retaining spring

NOTE:
  • The washer (No. 2, Figure 410 - 97) and retaining spring (No. 6) have been omitted from the inner left and inner right sensors. The holding spring with new support on the rear spoiler must be replaced for these two parts. See  Fig 3  .
