Install catalytic converter

NOTE:
- Clean sealing surfaces
- Replace fastening screws and nuts
- Clamping sleeves and seals must be replaced. Pay attention to the installation position!
- Install metal seal over the studs of the catalytic converter flange. Push new double clamping sleeve onto catalytic converter exhaust pipe.
- Bring the catalytic converter to installation position and position threaded plate on rear muffler holder with 2 new hexagon-head nuts -2- .
- Replace metal seal of catalytic converter flange. Screw catalytic converter tightly with 2 M8 hexagon nuts and an M8 hexagon-head bolt.
Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)
- Depending on version (USA or RoW), connect oxygen sensor plug if necessary.
- Bring the double clamping sleeve to installation position (screwed points upwards). The double clamp must adequately cover both the exhaust pipe and the connection to the catalytic converter to avoid leaks. Position the M8 nuts (a/f 13) and tighten -arrows-
.
Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)
- Tighten hexagon-head nuts of thread plate on rear muffler holder.
