Removing contact unit

  1. Remove airbag steering wheel. Refer to REMOVING AND INSTALLING STEERING WHEEL (AIRBAG) .
  2. Undo and remove the panel.

  3. Undo the -fastening screws-  of the contact unit.

  4. Pull forward and disconnect the electrical plug connections.
  5. Remove the contact unit.
NOTE:
  • To prevent unintended rotation of the contact unit (KE) when the steering wheel has been removed, the contact unit locks itself when the steering wheel is pulled back!
  • Likewise, the contact unit unlocks automatically when the steering wheel is refitted!
