Removing and installing engine compartment vent - from model year 2003

REMOVING & INSTALLING ENGINE COMPARTMENT VENT INSTRUCTIONS - FROM MODEL YEAR 2003

1	Fastening screw	1	Unscrew fastening screw -1-2- . See Fig 1 .	Screw fastening screw -1-2- . See Fig 1 .
2	Air guide	1	Push the air guide -2- . See Fig 1 .	-4-8-2-1-2- . See Fig 1 . The air guide -2- and air inlet grille -4- can be installed only in assembled state. See Fig 1 . -4-8-2-1-2- . See Fig 1 . Press the air inlet grille 4.-8-2-1-2- . See Fig 1 .
	Foam strip	1		Inspect and replace if necessary. Information: Coat the comer points of the moulded rubber part with Loctite 454 and glue into the rim of the air guide from the rear.
3	Moulded rubber corner piece (installed on left only)	1	Pull off.	Check and, if necessary, replace. Coat the surface of the moulded rubber part with Loctite 454 and glue into the rim of the air guide from the rear.
4	Moulded rubber part (installed on left only)	1	Pull off.	Check and, if necessary, replace. Coat the surface of the comer points of the moulded rubber part with Loctite 454 and glue into the rim of the air guide from the rear.
5	Air inlet frame	1	Press the air inlet frame -5-7- . See Fig 1 .	Clip the air inlet frame -5-2- . See Fig 1 .
6	Flow duct	1	Press rubber tabs out of the sheetmetal lugs of the side section and remove flow duct -6- . See Fig 1 .	Position flow duct -6- . See Fig 1 .
7	Spring clips	3	Unclip.	Inspect and replace if necessary.
8	Sheetmetal nut	1		Inspect and replace if necessary.
