Removing and installing bumper and accessories

REMOVING & INSTALLING BUMPER & ACCESSORIES PROCEDURE

1	Collar nut	9		Tightening torque: -10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)-
2	Retaining strip, centre	1	Undo collar nut -1- . See Fig 2 .	Fix retaining strip onto the transverse lock panel and fasten with the collar nuts -1-10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)- . See Fig 2 .
3	Spacer sleeve 5.2x14	2
4	Support, left or right.	1	Unscrew the collar nut -1-4- . See Fig 2 .	Clip onto the retaining strip and tightly screw onto the side member with the collar nut -1- . See Fig 2 .
5	Left and right retaining strip	1	Unscrew the collar nut -1-7- . See Fig 2 .	Position retaining strip on the wing upward so that the clearance rib rests against the side section without gaps, and then tighten with the collar nuts -1-7-10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)-
6	Sheetmetal nut ST 4.8	4		Inspect and replace if necessary.
7	Sheetmetal screw St 4.8x19	2		Tightening torque: -3 Nm (2 ftlb.)-
8	Protective foil left, transparent foil on right	2		Inspect and replace if necessary.
9	Hexagon-head bolt M12x 1.5x100	2		Tightening torque: -85 Nm (63 ftlb.)-
10	Bumper mount -10- . See Fig 2 .	1	Unscrew hexagon-head bolt -9-10- . See Fig 2 .	Attach the bumper mount -10-12, 12A--11- . See Fig 2 .
11	Combination screw M8x30	4	Unscrew.	Tightening torque: -23 Nm (17 ftlb.)-
12	Impact pipe	2	Undo combination screw -11- . See Fig 2 .	Fix the impact pipe to the body with the seal -13-11- . See Fig 2 .
12A	USA version, impact	2	Undo combination screw -11- . See Fig 2 .	Fix the impact absorber to the body with the seal -13A--11- . See Fig 2 .
13	Seal	2		Inspect and replace if necessary.
