Engine Maintenance: Replacement Of Spark Plugs

  1. Jack up the vehicle at the take-up points provided.
  2. Disconnect connection cable of the ignition coils.
  3. Undo the two fastening screws (M6 x 25) of the plug coils and remove the 6 plug coils.

  4. Unscrew the spark plugs using the spark-plug wrench.

  5. Replace spark plugs. Tighten new spark plugs to 30 Nm (22 ft.lb), tighten remounted spark plugs to 25 Nm (18.5 ft.lb).
  6. Push on plug coils and tighten the fastening screws (M6 x 25) to 10 Nm (7.5 ft.lb). Subsequently push on the connecting cable of the plug coils.

  7. Lower vehicle.
