Characteristic features of Tiptronic vehicles (slip upshift)
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2004 Porsche Boxster, 2003 Porsche Boxster, 2002 Porsche Boxster, 2001 Porsche Boxster, and 2000 Porsche Boxster. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- When a maximum permissible speed difference between front and rear axle is exceeded, an integrated slip monitoring shifts into the next highest gear. This increases the driving stability on slippery roads.
- When PSM is switched off, the slip monitoring (slip upshift function) is also switched off. In this way, the Tiptronic enables an active sporty driving style also when the friction coefficent is low as is the case with manual transmission vehicles.
