Disabling & Activating Air Bag System

WARNING:
Accidental air bag deployment is possible. Personal injury may result. Remove key from ignition switch and wait one minute before servicing vehicle.
To disable air bag system, turn ignition off. Remove key from ignition switch. Disconnect and shield negative battery cable. Wait at least one minute. To activate air bag system, reconnect negative battery cable. Return key to ignition switch. Perform system operation check. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .
