Operating Instructions Porsche System Tester II 9588: Malfunctions

The Porsche System Tester II 9588 is a high-quality electronic device. In order to prevent damage to the unit due to improper use, please observe the operating instructions. If the Tester no longer responds when any key is pressed, it must be set to a defined state:

1. Press keys F1, F8 and ON/OFF at the same time.
2. Release key ON/off and then keys F1 and F8
   NOTE:

   • Perform this switch-off procedure only if the unit no longer responds when any key is pressed.
   • This procedure can damage the hard disk under certain circumstances if it is performed during normal operation. It may be necessary to repeat input of data created within this diagnostic application.
   • Problems during operation are indicated to the user via the information line (info line), e.g. Diagnosis Card not inserted.
