Battery Disconnect Precautions: Notes

Observe the following, prior to disconnecting the battery:

Turn off all electrical loads before disconnecting battery.
Never disconnect battery with engine running.
Never start engine without securely connecting battery.
DO NOT use boost charger to start engine.
Use jumper cables with over voltage protection.
Always disconnect battery, prior to performing any welding work.
Control modules, and other electrical equipment harness connectors must be connected, or disconnected, with ignition switch in OFF position, except for alarm system.
