DME Control Module

After disconnecting power supply, idle speed might change, or fluctuate briefly, until idle speed positioner, or throttle adjusting unit is re-adapted. Mixture adaptation is also lost.

After battery is connected, with the DME ME system it is necessary to carry out a learning and adaptation as follows:

• Turn ignition switch to ON position for one minute, without starting engine. DO NOT actuate accelerator pedal.
• Turn ignition switch to OFF position for at least 10 seconds.

This completes adaptation of throttle adjusting unit. With all DME systems, engine must run for several minutes, before ECM can relearn idle speed and mixture adaptation values.
