Removing and installing front speed sensors: Notes
- In the case of ABS generation 5.7 (not PSM 5.7) a new active speed sensor generation -B-
has been used as from the 2002 model.

- The active speed sensor not only records the wheel speed, but also the direction of rotation, whether the wheel is stationary and the signal quality.
- Installation is not possible in vehicles with passive speed sensors -A-
.
- It is not possible to confuse the two types as the plugs are of different shapes.
- Passive speed sensor (PSM 5.3, PSM 5.7 and ABS 5.3)
