Replacing sheetmetal bracket for roof joint strip

CAUTION: Water leak in roof rail flange!

During repairs (replacing sheetmetal bracket for roof joint strip), the sheetmetal bracket must be stuck.
Spot welding or gas-shielded arc welding are not permissible.

CAUTION: Observe the working time of the adhesive! The new part must be stuck in within 30 minutes. Otherwise the adhesion of the adhesive is impaired.

Measuring sheetmetal bracket

Measure clearance starting at position -C- at corner of windscreen frame. See Fig 1 .
Apply adhesive (Teromix-6700) to the sheetmetal flange and position. See TOOLS AND MATERIALS .
- C = 143 mm. See Fig 1 .
- D = 624 mm. See Fig 1 .
- E = 15 mm. See Fig 1 .
- F = 15.3 mm. See Fig 1 .
Prime flange areas with 2K primer.
Apply top coat paint.

The adhesive has hardened after a period of 2 hours to the extent that the roof joint strip can be mounted.
