Diagnostic conditions
- Vehicle speed higher than 120 km/h and then lower than 60 km/h
- Manual actuationNOTE:
- From a vehicle speed of 120 km/h, the spoiler is extended and retracts again when the speed falls below 60 km/h. This is controlled via the instrument cluster.
- Micro switches attached to the spoiler control signal the state of the spoiler to the instrument cluster.
- The instrument cluster expects the check back concerning the new state of the spoiler after the speed exceeds or falls below the limit and after relevant activation. If a state change is not registered despite the control, fault code 9150 is stored and the warning text "Failure of spoiler control" is issued on the display.
- Depending on the software version of the instrument cluster, only the warning text is displayed without fault code 9150 being stored.
- The warning text is issued depending on the instrument cluster version after model year 2003.
NOTE:- If the PSM control module has failed, the spoiler extends as soon as the ignition is switched on for reasons of safety.
