Installing display and operator control unit (PCM 2)
NOTE:
- If a new PCM is installed, the navigation module from the old PCM is removed and installed in the new PCM.
- If the old PCM is installed again, start at step 6.
- Before the new PCM is installed, release and unplug the protective plug -A- for the optical waveguide.
- Unclip the cover on the new and old PCM.
- Lever out the navigation module carefully using a screwdriver on the removed PCM.
- Push navigation module into the PCM to be installed.
- Position the cover and clip it in.
- Connect the electrical plug connections of the display and operator control unit in the order -D, B, A- and the antenna plug -A, E, F- , until the plug engages audibly.
- Check if the locking tabs on the PCM protrude -arrow-
, and if so, open the locking with an Allen wrench.
NOTE: Before the PCM is inserted into the installation slot, it must be ensured that the electrical lines are not squeezed and damaged by the PCM.
- Push the PCM into the installation slot until the locking elements on the PCM housing engage.
- Plug in the electrical plug connections on the switch cover.
- Mount the switch cover and press in until it clicks into place.
NOTE: After installation of a new display and operator control unit, the system must be activated with the Porsche System Tester!
- Connect and switch on the Porsche System Tester 2.
