8001 CD changer: Diagnosis/troubleshooting

DIAGNOSIS/TROUBLESHOOTING (8001 CD CHANGER)

1	Audio CD damaged or inserted incorrectly	Replace audio CD	-> End	Step 2
2	Check battery	Check battery charging condition.	Step 3	Charge or replace battery -> End
3	Check fuses	Check fuse E6 on CD changer. Check fuse D8 on radio.	Step 4	Replace fuse -> End
4	Check input voltage at pin 30 +	Switch off ignition Pull off plug A on the CD changer Switch on ignition Measure voltage on plug A of the CD changer between pins 1 and 2	Battery voltage Step 5	Corrosion in the plug connection or contact resistance in the supply lead Check and repair wiring harness -> End
5	Check ground points	Measure resistance on plug A of the CD changer between pin 2 and ground	< 5 Step 6	Check or repair wiring harness -> End
6	Replace the CD changer		-> End
