Possible causes, elimination, Notes

  1. Check the fuse F 5/1.
  2. Pull off plug I on the alarm control module.
  3. Voltmeter at plug I alarm control module pin 16 and ground.

    Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock.

    Display: Battery voltage

  4. Pull off the plug on the ignition lock.
  5. Ohmmeter at ignition lock plug pin 86 S and plug I, alarm control module pin 16.

    Display: < 5 Ω

  6. If no fault is detected, replace the electrical contact part of the ignition lock.
