Control unit function: Events
NOTE:
The occurence of particular system errors is stored in the event memory. Furthermore, it is possible to read out the time of the occurence using the "F8" key. The time is shown in minutes. The events stored in the event memory concern components of the instrument cluster and also components of other control units like PSM or DME. The following system errors are stored in the event memory.
NOTE:
During diagnosis, PSM failure is entered into the event memory via communication with the Porsche System Tester II 9588 and the respective warning lights are activated during the automatic control unit search. In this case, no fault is present and the event memory is to be erased after completion of the diagnosis.
