Removing car radio
NOTE:
- If the car radio is replaced by a new or a different car radio, read out the data with the Porsche System Tester before removal. See TEACHING CAR RADIO .
- The car radio has an optical waveguide (LWL). Information on the optical waveguide (LWL): Refer to OPTICAL WAVEGUIDE - MOST BUS .
- Switch ignition off and remove ignition key.
- Insert removal tool into the openings provided at the radio until the tool is felt to engage.
- Pull the radio completely out of the installation slot with the removal tool.
- Carefully place the radio on the centre console in front. It is advisable to place a cloth between the centre console and the radio.
- Unlock the plug connections by pressing the plug locking elements -a-
and pull the plugs off the radio -arrow-. NOTE:
- The number of plug connections will vary, depending on the I No. (CD changer, Bose, amplifier).
- The variant without additional audio components (external Most control units) has a jumper (output to input) connected to the optical waveguide plug.
- Press in the (coloured) detent hooks on the radio -arrow- and withdraw the removal tool at the same time.
