Check wiring from DME control module, pin IV/18, to instrument cluster, pin I/16, for open circuit

  1. Connect special tool 9637 to wiring harness

    (DME control module connector).

  2. Remove connector I of instrument cluster.
  3. Connect ohmmeter to special tool 9637, pin IV/18, and to connector I/16 of instrument cluster.

    Display: 0 - 5 ohms

    NOTE: The wire is routed via connector X 2/5.
    If infinity ohms is displayed, check wiring harness for chafing and pinching damage.
