Wheel Bearing: Installation
- Heat trailing arm to 248-302°F (120-150°C). Use Special Tool VW 459 on a suitable base to mount control arm. Attach Special Tool VW 412 to hydraulic press. See Fig 1

- With control arm heated, insert new angular ball bearing. Place Special Tool VW 432 or equivalent bearing driver on top of bearing. Use hydraulic press (with attached Special Tool VW 412) to press bearing into control arm. See Fig 2

- Install snap ring on front face of ball bearing.
- Press wheel hub into control arm using Special Tool VW 415 A or equivalent driver. See Fig 3
