Valve Stem Oil Seals: Removal

  1. With camshaft housing and cylinder head removed, position head securely in holding fixture on clean work surface. Using Valve Spring Compressor (US 1020) and Adapter (US 1020/1), compress spring.
  2. Detach valve keepers and remove valve springs with retainer and shim(s). Pry valve stem oil seal from end of valve guide using caution not to damage guide.
