Valve Stem Oil Seals: Installation

  1. Lubricate end of valve guide with oil. Place plastic sleeve on valve stem, lubricate seal and push into place using Valve Seal Installer (9225).
  2. When installing new seal over stem, use caution to avoid damage to seal as it passes over keeper grooves. Press seal over end of valve guide evenly. Install remaining components in reverse order of removal.
