Removal (928S)
- Raise and support vehicle. Remove tire and wheel. Disconnect pad wear indicator. Remove housing retaining spring by applying pressure in center of spring and pushing spring upward until it disengages inside housing bores.
- Pull plugs out of guide sleeves and remove guide pins with 7 mm socket wrench. Pull housing toward outside of car by hand to push back piston slightly. Remove housing. Pull disc pad out of piston and lay housing aside suspended with wire. DO NOT disconnect hydraulic line. Remove outer disc pad from holder.
CAUTION:
If fluid level is too high in reservoir, overflow will result when pistons are pushed back into calipers.
